and Our Family of Clinics

At the Compassion Center, we are dedicated to delivering a holistic and integrative approach to integrative wholeness, health and optimal wellness. Our network brings together a diverse range of professional clinicians, services and modalities through our family of clinics, including IntegrativeECS, Holistic Health Now, and our latest joint-initiative with the Integrative Providers Association: Teach1Serve10.org. Our mission is to provide compassionate, patient-centered care that addresses all aspects of optimizing well-being, and redirect the current narrative on mental health and healthcare towards integrative wholeness, inclusion and a balanced mind-body-spirit so our patients can live their best lives.

Our Family of Clinics

Compassion Center:

As the cornerstone of our growing network of clinics, Compassion Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive medical and mental health care services for all citizens. We are committed to recruiting the brightest minds in integrative medicine, mental health and wellness optimization, and integrating plant-based medicines into their continuums of care through a wide range of clinical, advocacy, education, and research initiatives, expanding access to integrative healthcare, mental health and nutritional consultations. Our goal is to enhance the international standard of care while maintaining affordability, accessibility, quality, and compassion. Compassion Center continuously evolves, expands and evaluates its programs to meet community needs, introducing new initiatives that contribute to a higher quality of life and more equitable and sustainable futures for all.

Our clinics are equipped with advanced facilities, and diagnostics, and are staffed by dedicated professionals who focus on treating the whole person- not just “managing the disease”. Compassion Center addresses both routine and specialized healthcare needs, redirecting patients towards optimal outcomes through state-of-the-art diagnostics and proven treatment plans integrating multiple integrative modalities such as but not limited to yoga, reflexology and therapeutic massage, acupuncture and acupressue, plant-based medicines, nutrition and intentional changes in lifestyles to optimize mental attitudes, boost biophysical wellness, well-being and one’s own mind-body-spiritual wholeness.

IntegrativeECS: A pivotal member of our clinic family, IntegrativeECS specializes in addressing categorically complex illnesses, neurodivergencies, and the endocannabinoid system (ECS). IntegrativeECS focuses on how the ECS impacts the overall health neurophysiological and physiological health of patients who use cannabis to treat conditions not adequately addressed by FDA-approved therapies, and aids healthcare institutions in compliantly incorporating medical cannabis into their local continuums of care.

In February of 2021, IntegrativeECS merged Integrative E C S Therapeutics with Compassion Center’s Medical Marijuana Clinics to offer a comprehensive range of diagnostics, therapeutics and pharmaceutical integrations under the IntegrativeECS clinical brand. IntegrativeECS provides a wider range of integrated practices, services including, but not limited to: genomics, diagnostics, consultations, pharmaceutical integrations, clinical care advocacy, governmental relations and personalized education, all aimed at empowering patients in navigating a global continuum of care with a broad understanding of how the ECS aids in balancing homeostasis.

IntegrativeECS is committed to collaborating directly with primary care providers, specialty care providers, pharmacists, and hospitals (in California under Ryan’s Law SB311) to safely integrate medical cannabis, hemp, and associated minor cannabinoids like CBD, THCa, and THCv into patient care. We focus on managing categorically complex disease states and conditions such as Autonomic Diseases, Intractable Epilepsy, Intractable Seizures, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH), Autism Spectrum, and more. Additionally, IntegrativeECS provides a wide range of narcotic-free integrations for chronic pain and anxiety, integrating them into personalized care plans.

Holistic Health Now: Dedicated to promoting overall well-being, Holistic Health Now is a wellness plan exclusive to Compassion Center and IntegrativeECS providing natural and holistic therapies through a growing network of professionals, practitioners, service providers and product manufacturers dedicated to improving patient wellness through a vertical integration of plant-based, all-natural, medicines, herbs, spices and foods following in Hippocrates teachings of ‘Let thy food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food’. From stress management and nutrition to mind-body practices, our individualized patient programs are designed to enhance your overall health and support a balanced lifestyle.

Teach1Serve10.org: A collaborative initiative between Compassion Center and the Integrative Providers Association (IPA), Teach1Serve10.org is an innovative extension of our network that provides pop-up clinics in conjunction with IPCE accredited medical conferences, starting with its establishment at the Integrative Providers Association Conference 2022 (IPAC2022NV) where our members served our first round of patients.

Founded under the influences of disruptive healthcare innovators like Dr. David G. Ostrow, MD, PhD, LFAPA (R.I.P. – Deceased 2022), a pioneer in AIDS/HIV antivirals and associated research, and the fields of cannabinology and cannabinology research, with Dr. David Bearman, MD, a global leader in the innovation of free clinics, the field of cannabinology, and the delivery of a higher standard of care through service as the former chief medical officer for the largest Medicare/Medicaid program in the United States. Dr. Bearmean serve(d)(s) as supervising cannabinologist of the Teach1Serve10 clinical practicum, and Nurse Julie Monteiro, a pioneering cannabis nursing innovator, founder of the Integrative Providers Association (IPA) and pioneer in interprofessional continuing medical education serves as IPA’s director of education.

This program combines accredited interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) conferences with practical, hands-on clinical experience for prescribing providers who are in attendance of affiliated, or sanctioned medical conferences, further translating and converting this revolutionary education into positive measurable change for the communities in which the IPA, and other affiliated medical conferences visit along the way. Taking a proactive approach to expansion, the IPA and Compassion Center openly encourage other organizations to incorporate the Teach1Serve10 clinical practicum day into their accredited medical conferences, driving the change we all need to see in integrative healthcare.

Not all programs are created equally, allowing IPA and Compassion Center to identify trailblazers, collaborate with stakeholders and dig down to the root of the problems facing integrative healthcare, mental health and wellness optimization, focusing on identifying barriers, developing dissolutions and further delivering a higher quality of life as a result of coordinated integrative care. • Education and Training: On Days 1 and 2, the host organization, like IPA, and Compassion Center host an accredited IPCE medical conference to educate medical providers on the latest advancements in care, focusing on the clinical adaptation of science, research, contraindications and currently approved therapeutic integrations.
  • Clinical Practicum: On Day 3, Teach1Serve10.org organizes a clinic day where participating prescribing providers can apply their new knowledge in a clinical practicum space under the Compassion Center. This hands-on experience allows providers to serve up to 10 local underserved, underprivileged, and underrepresented community members, and translate their mandatory education into positive measurable changes, and a tangible cost savings that the communities can almost immedately realize.

Impact and Benefits

  • Cost Savings: Regardless if patients are entering an integrative care clinic on a sliding scale, participating in a wellness plan or participating in a Teach1Serve10 clinical practicum, each prescribing/volunteer provider helps save the local taxpayers at least $13,000 in uncompensated care for every 10 patients examined, consulted with or referred. Many individual cases exceed that total estimated amount, as our administrators’ excel at qulickly aligning patients with specialists who primarily practice in their disease, or chief complaint. Compassion Center, and its family of clinics exclusively work with qualifying patients who seek compassionate care, and will not certify patient recommendations just because someone is looking for a recommendation to participate in a state program because they think that they qualify. We are not a card mill.
  • Addressing the Overprescription of Narcotics and Opioids Crisis: As a matter of policy, Compassion Center and its family of clinics do not provide or allow any of our providers to prescribe narcotics or opioid pain management solutions. We exclusively recommend non-narcotic, and non-opioid alternatives for pain management, inflammation, circulation, and the promotion of healing. This approach contributes to reducing narcotic and opioid dependencies and positively enhances the overall global standards of patient care.
  • Improving Care Standards: Our compassionate system enhances medical care and mental health referrals, fostering a higher standard of care in our communities and beyond. Compassion Center is dedicated to improving the global standard of care by leveraging collaboration, research, and a rigorous approaches towards integrative healthcare and mental health. We work with leading experts and institutions to advance the understanding and application of integrative approaches that balance mind, body, and spirit. Our commitment to collaboration extends to partnerships with primary care providers, specialists, and research institutions worldwide. Through these collaborations, we stay at the forefront of medical and mental health advancements, ensuring our patients benefit from the latest evidence-based practices and innovations.

In our pursuit of excellence, we focus on the qualification and quantification of integrative healthcare methodologies. Our research initiatives aim to provide clear, concise actionable insights into the effectiveness of various treatments, helping to refine and optimize care strategies. By systematically evaluating and documenting outcomes, we ensure that our practices contribute to measurable improvements in patient health and well-being.

Furthermore, Compassion Center emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach that integrates physical health, mental wellness, and spiritual balance. We believe that addressing all aspects of a person’s health is essential for achieving optimal outcomes. Our programs and services are designed to support this comprehensive approach, promoting overall well-being and empowering individuals to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Through these efforts, Compassion Center not only enhances the quality of care within our own network but also contributes to the broader global movement towards a more integrative, compassionate, and effective healthcare system.
