Compassion Center International (CCI) has partnered with the Center for Incubation & Findings Research (CIFR) to establish and develop a call center in Colombia to serve a dual role for Compassion Center by; 1) aiding local Colombian communities with higher than normal wage jobs for call-center, virtual agent and remote bilingual positions - while 2) providing a superior call-center product to Compassion Center, its clients and other nonprofits in the United States and abroad to ensure that all community-based and non-governmental organizations have more affordable options than what are currently offered in the fundraising and customer service space.
The Problem: Companies in Colombia have overreaching policies that force people telecommuting from home to choose between privacy and productivity all over a wage that is pale in comparison, which results in a violation of the very civil liberties and human rights that we all take for granted here in the United States every day. Learning of this disparity, Nurse Julie Monteiro, President of Compassion Center instructed the Compassion Center International Committee to explore solutions in Columbia where Compassion Center can do our part, no matter how small of an impact we made.
100% of the funds raised from this fundraiser will be used in the development, implementation, oversight and support of the Compassion Center International Colombian Call Center, and the associated community based programs that will be paired to serve employees and those in the surrounding community.
